About us
Three generations of the same family, one trade.
FS-Shutter is the trading name of a private family business that has been established in the Cypriot market since 1978. Over that time we have built a strong position in residential and industrial rolling shutters, garage doors and electric gates.
Our goal is straightforward: first-class products, competitive prices, and delivery and installation that actually does what it is meant to do — security and a comfortable home. We hold a portfolio of projects across the whole of Cyprus.
How we got here
Famagusta
George Georgiades started as a sole trader installing and repairing rolling shutters in Famagusta. His technical skill and business sense earned him a name throughout the town and its suburbs. After the Turkish invasion of 1974, the family moved to Limassol.
The business is founded
Marios Georgiades, the youngest son, followed his father's trade and set up in central Limassol — one small building holding an office, a workshop and a warehouse. Rolling shutters were imported from the largest German manufacturers, and the first five employees were hired and trained. By 1989 Marios and his wife Elena Georgiadou had incorporated the company.
Beyond shutters
As the shutter market grew, so did the company. In the early 1990s we entered the garage door market, importing the first residential doors from the United States within months. Venetian blinds and electric gates followed, with raw materials and components from Germany, Italy and France, and additional warehouses in Limassol.
Our own factory
We bought land and built a 2,200 m² factory in the Agios Sylas industrial area — large enough to hold the full product range in stock and to house manufacturing under one roof, equipped with modern machinery. Holding stock meant a customer no longer waited weeks for a container.
Still investing
We keep renovating the premises and investing in technology, and we attend international trade fairs so that what we fit in Cyprus is what the industry is actually building today.
